L'Etete and Area

L'Etete is part of what locals have affectionately called "the square" for many years - the roadway through the communities of Saint Goerge, Caithness, Mascarene, L'Etete, Back Bay, Lower Latang and back to Saint Goerge. In the 1800, many traveled more by boat then road. Captain McLeod from Caithness was twice around the Cape of Good Hope before he was once around "the square". Today it's a favour Sunday drive for locals.

Below are points of intresting from each community.

L'Etete

The Schooner House is a B&B housed in a 160 year old bayfront home. Lovingly restored and maintained by Gil and Deenie Wilson, they offer three comfortable upstairs rooms for your pleasure. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and offer plenty of space - especially the larger Captain's Quarters.

A welcoming place of worship:
Mid week programs for youth (gr 2-6) on Thurs. @6:30pm, Mens Group on Wed. @7pm, Ladies Fellowship on Wed @ 6:30pm, Young Adult Club is bi-weekly on Thurs @ 7pm, Sunday School for all ages, and worship Sunday @ 11am.
